ROBERT LANG, M.D.

Dr. Lang is an endocrinologist with over 30 years of experience specializing in a holistic approach for the treatment of female and male hormones, thyroid, diabetes, osteoporosis and non-surgical treatment of bone disease.  Dr. Lang designs an individualized program that includes bio-identical hormone replacement therapy, medical nutritional therapy, and a mind/body/spirit approach for each individual.  His eclectic background includes; Board Certification in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism.  He pioneered the first osteoporosis clinic at Yale Medical School while he was a full-time faculty member from 1976 through 1986 and he has taken numerous courses and workshops on the relationship between our physical illnesses and the mental and spiritual issues in our lives.  For the past 20 years, he has been in private practice and responsible for developing a research center where he has been the principle investigator in studies involving many of the currently approved medications for prevention and treatment of osteoporosis, diabetes and other metabolic disorders (see clinical trials).  Over the past 20 years, he has been involved in designing research protocols, has consulted with major pharmaceutical firms, and has over 30 publications. Dr. Lang has presented over 400 speeches on endocrine disorders, osteoporosis and related topics to peers, health care professionals, medical students, and the public.  Since early in his career, he has been interested in all types of treatments with the purpose of finding the safest and most effective conventional and natural treatments for endocrine and metabolic disorders, osteoporosis and other medical conditions.
